THE "SOHF" PROGRAM

The Housing Advocates, Inc., a U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) approved Comprehensive Housing Counseling agency, is now providing Free housing counseling to Shaker Heights and other Cuyahoga County residents. Housing Advocates Inc., in cooperation with the City of Shaker Heights, Garfield Heights, Parma and East Cleveland offers this free service. Make an appointment by calling the SOHF hotline number below. A meeting can be arranged at several locations including 2nd Floor of the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Community Center, 3450 Lee Road, Shaker Heights, Ohio or 3214 Prospect Ave Cleveland Ohio office. If your are a homeowner  delinquent on your mortgage or worried that you can no longer pay the cost of your mortgage, we can provide FREE access to a lawyer and housing counselors to SAVE YOUR HOME! Counselors can assist clients in negotiating forbearance agreements, loan modifications, and discussing other options available to you. 

Criteria: 

− Must live in Cuyahoga County 

− Property must be the primary residence

− Owner must be on the loan 

− Owner must currently still own the property (cannot

        assist with houses already sold in foreclosure)
